I do a webcomic and I find that knowing that it has to be done forces my brain to be creative. and also with a rigid schedule you are always moving forward and leaving a trail of imagery that only becomes cohesive when you can look back and revisit it.
I really enjoyed the little monsters you did a few weeks ago for your show, when I have an output like that it does seem to be hard to get back to that place....
